Dealing with this 3rd party billing office has proven to be very difficult. The representative usually can not help, but promises to have an account specialist look into the issue and call you back. However the majority of the time they fail to call and I had to start over with a new front line representative. Out of 4 providers my family used this fall, we had issues with billing on 3 of them.
The first problem required me to get my insurance company to contact UMS and resolve the issue. The second was very difficult and I could not get UMS to call me back for 2 or 3 weeks so I finally called my doctor’s receptionist. She had the issue resolved with UMS the very next business day. On the last account I was able to get someone helpful at UMS to resolve the problem.
