UPDATE: I spoke with Jeff and found out they can, in fact, look for your account using your name. He was very apologetic for what happened when I called. We went over my account and had a pleasant conversation. I’m so happy he replied and I contacted him. They get 5 stars now!

I have been in the hospital for the past 5 weeks battling COVID. I just arrived at a rehab facility. I had a small amount left on my ambulance bill and I called today to let them know what had been going on with me and that it would be a little while before I was able to pay the bill because I don’t have my purse or checkbook with me. The woman I spoke to asked for my account and I told her I did not have a clue because I don’t have any paperwork with me. And she informed me that she could not help me if I did not have my account number. I asked her if she could not look it up by my name and she said no. I told her that was the craziest thing I’ve ever heard. She said well that’s just the way it is. And so I hung up. Now when you call a place and you try to get something resolved never have I ever called and not had somebody be able to look my account information up by my name. I have never heard of such in my life. They get a zero if I could give a zero.

UPDATE: I found the number to the Operations Manager in the replies from other reviews and called. They were able to rescind the bill sent to DOR and are allowing me to pay Lowcountry directly for the original amount. Thank you!

Never received a bill nor any past due notice for service because of an incorrect address in their system.
Bill has now been sent to Department of Revenue for collections with an added late fee. Was told on the phone there was nothing they can do.

The staff is pleasant to talk to. They get to the point fast and answer all questions.
